Bardstown City Schools has a rich tradition of supporting and encouraging a well-rounded approach to education. This includes a focus on music, art, and media. Through our arts program at Bardstown High School, students have unique opportunities to explore and develop their creativity. There are a variety of courses where students can study visual art, vocal and instrumental music, and digital and website design. From performance to hands-on work to marketing, the different mediums of art allow our students to express their individual personalities while developing their skills. In doing this, many students find their passion, and become lifelong learners of the arts.

In Kentucky, 5,991 Arts-Related Businesses employ 29,625 people who are involved in the creating or distribution of the arts. The U.S.Bureau of Economic Analysis reports that the arts and culture sector contributes $4.97 billion to Kentucky’s economy.
