Welcome to Mrs. Edelen and Mrs. Dossett’s fourth grade class! We will be your child’s 4th grade teachers this year. We would like to tell you some things about ourselves, just as we hope to get to know all of you better throughout the year.
All About Mrs. Edelen - I have lived in Bardstown all of my life and this is my fourteenth year teaching at Bardstown Elementary School. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in December of 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. In December of 2010, I graduated with a master’s degree in School Counseling. I also finished my Rank I in School Counseling in winter of 2012. Recently, I received Supervisor of Instruction Certification from University of Cumberlands last summer! My husband and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for 13 years. He is a truck driver at Heaven Hill. We have four lovable country kids. Tobi is twelve years old and loves sports and hunting. Our only girl, Gracie, is ten years old, loves soccer and basketball, and loves being the Boss! Bentley is eight years old, loves baseball, and loves to make jokes. They all love taking care of our baby boy, Brody, who is almost four years old. He is spoiled rotten, loves to play in dirt, and loves being outside! Tobi will be in seventh grade, Gracie will be in fifth grade, and Bentley will be in third grade. We live on a farm in Boston. We have two dogs, Scoopy and Rocky, along several cows. We love to go camping and four-wheeler riding! You may probably see us on the ball fields or basketball courts! Our favorite vacation is going to the beach! Family is very important to us, and I will treat your children like my own.
All About Mrs. Dossett - Hello, my name is Anne-Marie Dossett. I have been teaching at Bardstown Elementary for 24 years and have enjoyed every year. I received my Bachelor's degree from Campbellsville University with a degree in Elementary Ed., my Rank II from WKU in Exceptional Child Education and my Rank I from WKU in Elementary Ed. I live in on a farm in Bardstown with my husband of 24 years and my 4 children. My oldest daughter is in nursing school and the other 3 are 16 year old triplets (2 girls and a boy) that are juniors. In my spare time, I love being with my family and friends, gardening, traveling, spending time outside, and watching my kids play sports. I am looking forward to the 20/21 school year and excited to get to know your child.
Our philosophy of education is that all students can and will succeed in a safe learning environment with support and encouragement. This is what we will provide for your child this year along with high expectations from your student. Together, we can make this happen. Mrs. Buckman will be team teaching with us this year. Mrs. Buckman will be your child’s math teacher while we will teach science and social studies. Mrs. Buckman is an excellent teacher, and we have worked together for a long time!
