Mr. K's Website!

PARENTS!

I firmly believe that parents and I are a team. Our goal is to provide the best possible education for your kids. In order to accomplish this goal, I will try my hardest to get to know each and every one of you.

I also have an open door policy. Anytime you want to talk to me about your child or want to meet with me face to face, I will try my best to make myself available to you. I want to hear your suggestions, your concerns, your questions.

My email address is nkalscheur@barabooschools.net and this is the best way to contact me during and after school. I look forward to meeting all of you and working with you this school year.

About Mr. Kalscheur

Hello parents and students!

My name is Nate Kalscheur and this is my 6th year in Baraboo teaching at GLW. I have been a 4th grade teacher for each of those years and have enjoyed every group I have worked with during my time in room 22.

I am also the Advanced Learner coach at GLW. This means that I do the best I can to address the needs of our advanced learners in all grades. To do this I try and provide advanced academic opportunities available to all students (such as Math 24), promote creativity through after school enrichment activities (CREATE club) and working with different teachers to meet the needs of their advanced learners.

This has been a big year for me, I got married! My wife and I got married in June 2018 and were lucky enough to go on a honeymoon in Thailand right afterwards (some pictures below). We both graduated from UW Madison and still live in on the east side of Madison. Elise works with American Family Insurance.

A couple of more things about me, I am a big sports fan and am all about everything related to WI sports. I enjoy playing volleyball and other team sports such as ultimate frisbee. I had a great summer and did a ton including bike rides, Brewer's and Madison Mallards games, and a bit of relaxing :).

I am looking forward to this school year and am excited to get to know all of my students and their families. I'm sure it is going to be a great school year!
