John Davies

Hi East Families,

Welcome to Mr. Davies School Counseling website. I am the school counselor for East Elementary School in the Baraboo School District. I have been a school counselor for the past twenty five years and eighteen of those years have been here in Baraboo. I spent nine years at South Elementary(ABE) and North Freedom Elementary, four years at Gordon L. Willson Elementary and the West Kindergarten Center, and have been at East Elementary for the past five years. I am very excited to be your son/daughter's school counselor and am looking forward to a great year of new friends, exciting discoveries, and adventures.

I have lived in Baraboo for eighteen years with my wife Linda. Our family has grown during that time to include Alice, who is attending tenth grade at the high school, Will who is attending 8th grade at Jack Young Middle School, and Dylan who is a fifth grader at East Elementary. Our family enjoys the many activities, opportunities and beauty of Baraboo and the surrounding area. We are all very busy in school and community events!

My main priority as a school counselor is to help students with academic, personal, and social goals. In doing this, I provide support to parents, teachers, and administrators on a daily basis. Three of the activities I use to support these goals are classroom guidance, small group counseling, and individual counseling. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns.
