Ms. Ballweg's Classroom

About Your Art Teacher

My name is Ms. Ballweg. I am teaching kindergarten through fifth grade art at Baraboo East Elementary. I also teach two classes at the West Kindergarten Center. I am very excited for the 2018-2019 school year to start!

I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin Platteville. During my education, I got the opportunity to learn and explore various different mediums and techniques. I was also presented with the opportunity to study abroad. In my adult life I have traveled to four different countries. Traveling and art are two big passions of mine. As an Art teacher, I get the amazing ability to teach art with a multitude of materials and make connections with many different cultures.

Fifth Grade students volunteer their time and skills!

A small group of Fifth grade students chose to volunteer some of their free time to make art for a cause. Students made numerous different pieces including a cardboard trolley, grandfather clock, castel, welcome sign, and a neighborhood mural. Students dedicated their time and art skills to enhance the first graders experience in their first musical production of the school year! Ms. Ballweg and Ms. Lappin would like to that all of the students who volunteered and helped make this happen.
