I began my teaching career in 1989 at Allison-Bristow Community Schools in Allison, Iowa. I taught business education, physical education and computer applications. Along with my teaching duties, I was also head football coach, head boys track coach and middle school basketball coach.

1993 - 1995 Business Education Teacher at Aplington-Parkersburg Community School District. I also coached football, boys basketball, and girls track.

1995 - 1999 Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Nashua-Plainfield Community Schools.

1999 - 2003 Independence Community Schools where I taught business education and was head football coach. I became the Director of Technology at Independence in 2000 and assistant football coach at Upper Iowa University.

2003 - 2006 Director of Technology at Mount Vernon Community Schools and assistant football coach at Cornell College.

2006 - 2008 Director of Technology at Johnston Community Schools.

2008 - present Director of Technology at Ballard Community Schools.

My Wife Shelly and I, along with our son Cade, reside in Johnston.
