Students can simply log into the edumate portal to check their timetable, however many find it convenient to synchronise their timetable with their device calendar.
Settings > Accounts & Passwords> Add Account > Other > Add Subscribed Calendar
Enter the following replacing STU0099 with your student code:
edumate.ballaraths.vic.edu.au/ballarat4/cal.php/calendar/STU0099
If you are unable to find the calendar ensure you have entered the address exactly.

Open Calendar, Choose File > New Calendar Subscription.
Enter the following replacing STU0099 with your student code:
https://edumate.ballaraths.vic.edu.au/ballarat4/cal.php/calendar/STU0099 then click Subscribe.
Enter a name for the calendar BHS Calendar, then click the adjacent pop-up menu and choose a color.
Click the Location pop-up menu, then choose an account for the subscription.
To get the calendar’s event attachments or alerts, deselect the appropriate Remove checkboxes.
Click the Auto-refresh pop-up menu, then choose how often to update the calendar.
Click OK.

Unfortunately windows 10 does not support this kind of calendar under it's native calendar app or Microsoft Outlook.
Students can of course check their timetable via edumate at any time.
If students are very keen
Sunbird is a free calendar only app which can be installed on windows and used to subscribe. It is quite old but works well.
Thunderbird is an free email app with a modern version of sunbird built in, which can be used to manage both email and a calendar. Installing a separate email program can be a good way to seperate school email from personal mail. School email is also easily accessed through any web browser without installing software.
Adding a calendar is identical in both applications.
