Yolo by Lauren Myracle is a novel that is written in the form of text messages. In this novel, three high school friends try to stay in touch while studying in different colleges throughout the United States. Angela, who has a bubbly personality joins a sorority and now has to face the challenges. Maddie, who decided to leave the city and study in Santa Cruz doesn’t start well. And lastly, Zoe, who is trying to keep a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend doesn’t really go well. Would they keep up the relationship and would things go well for them? As they go through each and every problem together, their friendship grows stronger every day. I think this book had a unique story line but it was quite slow-paced and took a long time to read. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading the genre of adventure, comedy, and romance. (Ahyun. Grade 8)

"Yolo" by Lauren Myracle is a story that represents strong friendship. In this story, three college friends try to stay in contact while they study in different high schools. They still manage to be open with each other and share their problems, and details of their daily life. Soon, things start to go wrong and their friendship grows even stronger when the three friends come through for each other. This was a pretty good book. It is written in the form of a series of SMS texts. It fits into the genres of friendship, a bit of adventure, comedy, and romance. I would recommend it to ages 11 and up because of its content and not always appropriate language. (Nina. Grade 8)
