This is an interesting book in the category of nonfiction with tons of ‘true’ ghost stories. The book is divided into five categories, all very different. The stories were not scary, but mainly just a bit creepy. I liked it, but it was not as scary as I hoped it would be, so it was not my favorite book ever. One thing I did like was the fact that it was not one big story but a lot of different short stories. This kept me interested throughout the whole book. Overall, this is a decent book, and I would recommend it to all of my peers.

Some of these stories are from beliefs, bad spirits and more. This book has a picture on every starting part of a story. The World's Strangest "True" Ghost Stories by John Macklin is a short fiction book with many different genres. The short story I liked most was either the song only kids could hear or the disappearing man on the train station. Both of these were very awkward, and I still ask myself if what happened was actually true. I really liked this book, especially because some stories were so absurd that it was hard to believe how they could be true or how you could come up with them. Each story was very different, scary, and remarkable in its own way. Although I liked the book, most of the stories weren't ghost stories but just weird stories about missing people or things. Still, the book was very fun to read, including the stories that were not ghost stories. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in reading it since I really enjoyed it. (Melati. The book "Worlds Strangest True Ghost Stories" by John Macklin was a very mysterious book to read, In my opinion this book fits to the genre Paranormal or Mystery because you never know what would happen next. The vocabulary in this book was sometimes challenging but it was good to learn what they meant. Through out the book it would get confusing but once you get to the end of each story everything would make sense. I recommend reading this book in a Quiet area or alone to make the book more "scary". This book is not too long but has many stories that would blow your mind. Even if the stories in the book are not 100% true I would still recommend It as a DEAR book.   (Jasmine. Grade 6)

I thought this book was incredibly intriguing, and I believe the genre was probably a horror-type narrative. 23 stories of ghosts, curses, malevolent spirits and other paranormal happenings are discussed in the book. This story reads quickly and horrifyingly. On every page of this book, there is a picture of a haunting, a curse, a bad spirit, or other horrific events that helps you imagine what will occur as you read about it. I liked this book since you could read any chapter's quick, spooky story. If you're the kind of person who enjoys eerie stories, I think reading this book would be quite intriguing for you. But if you don't enjoy reading lengthy novels, this book is still intriguing to me since it has a lot of information and is a lot of pleasure to read. i think it is one of my most interesting books that i have read.  (Kiran. The book World's Strangest True Ghost stories by John Macklin is a paranormal book which include little true ghost stories. There are at least more than 10 stories in the book, but don't let that number get to you because it is a very thin book with bold writing. You can't really summarize the stories in general because there are too many to summarize, but I would totally recommend this book who love ghost stories and a short book. I know I love it and the words in it are really easy. Pictures are also included and they show evidence of whatever story they're talking about.  (Lilly. Grade 7)
