Max Brooks' World War Z is about a world conflict centered on an epidemic of zombies that nearly wiped out the human race. It is a horror/realism novel with numerous thrilling scenes, such as the Chinese submarine, floating cities, and military bases. It's also an excellent apocalyptic zombie novel since it doesn't center on a single main character but rather on several interviews. There is a lot of profanity and difficult vocabulary in it, as well as military terminology and some awful and brutal occurrences. I can recommend this book to people who are interested in zombies, horror, and realistic fiction. (Erik. Grade 8)

World War Z by Max Brooks is about a world war that revolved around an outbreak of zombies that became a pandemic around the world and how it almost ended the human race. It talks about how this outbreak started and how it spread with all the events that occurred. It is a horror/realistic fiction and it has many interesting and exciting moments in the book about how the zombies attacked and how it spread. For example, the Chinese submarine and the floating cities were one of my favorite parts of this book. I recommend this book to people who are interested in zombies, horror, and realistic fiction. I liked this book because I am interested in horror and zombies and I like action books which keep me interested. Something I disliked about this book was that sometimes it would get a little confusing with the questions involved, which would make me turn back a few pages to understand. (Vivan. Grade 8)

World war Z is a great apocalyptic Zombie book by Max Brooks. I found this book quite interesting as it doesn't focus on one main character but instead, the book consists of multiple interviews. I liked this book a lot because the author made the book as realistic as possible. I also liked this book because the author uses actual combat terms and he listed a variety of military vehicles from individual countries. However, this book had a lot of swearing and complicated words as well as military terms, this book also had some horrific and gruesome events. I’d Highly recommend this book to people interested in zombies, as this book displays realistic events that would take place during a zombie apocalypse.(James W. Grade 8)

World War Z is a great dystopian zombie apocalypse book by Max Brooks. This book is nothing like the movie, it consists of interviews of many people about a decade-long zombie plague rather than the main character going on an adventure. I like this book because it shows what is realistically possible during a zombie plague, for example, the governments in the book are not able to save every citizen. The book also makes very clear how we take many things for granted and how many of us don't have any survival skills. However, this book has a lot of swearing, complicated language, and horrifying events, so I would not give this book to a child. This book actually gave me nightmares and made it hard to sleep if I read it after the sunset. I highly recommend this book to people who aren't scared of zombies and want to know what would realistically happen in a zombie apocalypse, however, I do not recommend this book to any child. World War Z by Max Brooks is a dystopian genre book about if zombies are real. The book has lots of military terms and strong language. I personally found this book to be quite long and boring in lots of parts, the story is told in interviews as people talk about what happened and what they did. There are interviews with civilians or military personnel, and they use lots of military terms or talk about vehicles and weapons that might confuse some people. There is also some strong violence when it talks about fighting zombies. Overall I found the book to be quite boring in some places, but still interesting in others, and it might not suit all people. I do recommend this book if you are interested in things about the military or just things about zombies. (Ashton. Grade 8)
