Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is a fantasy about a young girl named Winnie. Winnie discovers that a magical spring in a forest can give her eternal life. This book was really interesting to me, but I didn’t really like it. I didn’t really like it because in the first part of the book it became confusing and I didn’t understand what was happening. This book fits very well into the genre fantasy, but I would recommend this book to some more advanced readers. Overall, the book was okay and I would recommend this book to people who like challenging books. (Cilla, Grade 7)

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is about a little girl that lives in a small town/village, one day she hears a music box and decides to go see what it is. The book is a fantasy book as it has magical water and never dying people. Winnie foster (the little girl) meets a family in the woods she wanted to drink a boy's water but he said that she couldn't, Winnie keeps arguing until they decided to tell her the truth, but the question is would she drink the water and live forever? The vocabulary was easy and there were no difficult words. I would not recommend this book as I did not enjoy it but I wouldn’t tell you to not read it as it was not bad and you could have a different point of view.  (Elsa, Grade 7)

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt fit's into a historical fiction and action book because in the tuck family they have this water that have seem to be blessed or cursed to whoever drank it it grants immortality. In the book it's about a girl called Winnie Foster that went across the fence in her home and into an area where she met Jenne Tuck. This is when Winnie found water and tried to drink it but was stopped by Jenne Tuck. Also the book is about love because Winnie Foster fell in love with Jenne Tuck near the end Winnie poured the spring water over a frog she kept seeing. (Juno, Grade 6)

When I first read Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt,a fantasy fiction novel, I didn't know how to describe it. It starts very light-hearted. The young protagonist, 10-year-old Winnie Foster, feels trapped in her rural town of Tree-gap, nestled in the Adirondack mountains of New York. It is the height of summer and the heat is suffocating. She waits impatiently for anything to happen, and it does. A strange and miraculous family of four called the Tucks whisk her away to their quaint and messy house in the wood, and tell her a wonderful and terrible secret of theirs. Hidden under a pile of stones, at the base of the largest and oldest oak tree in the woods that Winnie's family owns, is a crystal clear spring of water that bubbles up from somewhere deep inside the earth. Warm-hearted but wisened Tuck, the patriarch of the family, describes the spring as "something left over from a different plan of how the world should be. Some plan that didn't work out quite right. Something that was left behind, passed over somehow." for the spring is no ordinary water. Since drinking from it, none of the Tucks hadn't aged at all for 87 years. The water grants whoever drinks it immortality, and the Tucks see it for what it is. A curse. They are willing to do anything to protect the secret, but someone might already know a little too much, for the sinister man in the yellow suit has been following them, and he's heard everything.

The story is only 139 pages long, but it packs an emotional punch. The feel of the story is nostalgic and bittersweet, tangy and crisp, as is the style of the 1800s, the time period in which this book is set. The vocabulary is basic and easy to follow and as such, I would recommend it for ages 9 and up. I would love for anyone who likes a seemingly light-hearted story with a dark and serious streak to have a crack at this book because I can guarantee, you won't regret it.  (Anna, Grade 7)

Tuck Everlasting, written by Natalie Babbitt falls under the genre of fantasy. This story is about Winifred who is 10 years old and is the only child in the family. She is tired of her over protective parents always looking after her, so at last she decides to go into the woods and run away.  In the woods she meets some people who were drinking from a spring. When she wanted to drink they refused to let her and told her an unbelievable story about what the spring does to your body. She didn't know what to believe and what not to but one thing was for sure... They had to protect the spring whatever it takes. I enjoyed reading this book would rate it 3-4. It is also not too long and is really easy to read from the word vocabulary. (Enya, Grade 6)

I read a book called [Tuck Everlasting] written by Natalie Babbit. I personally think that his book had quite an interesting theme. It is about a girl who can live forever since she has drunk water from a lake. I think the genre of the story is fantasy because it isn't possible to live forever. I like this book because I liked the topic which was quite interesting for me. I also liked the way how the author uses figurative language in the book. Especially, I can see many metaphors and similes. I think that it would've been better if it had longer story.  (Siwoo. Grade 7)
