TI recommend this book because it is a realistic fiction type of book since it took place in a church. And I could imagine an abandoned baby girl found by two people. They take her home, and the baby, Annika grows up in the quarters of a house belonging to three professors. She is happy there but still dreams of when her real mother will come to find her. I recommend this book because it is. (Juno, Grade 6)

I gave the book four stars because it was good but not one of my very favourites. I would recommend you to read that book because it is very intresting. The vocabulary was not very challenging. The book has around 350 pages. The book does not have images. The book is also  very nice to read because it is not too big and not too short. (Julian, Grade 6)

The Star of Kazan book was written by Eva Ibbotson and I would put it under the genre of realistic fiction and adventure. This book is about the main character named Annika. She was found in a church when she was only a few days old. She grew up in a house with her adoptive mother serving three professors. She liked her life and was happy but she wasn't able to shake the fact that she didn't know who her real mother is. This book is about the many adventures and dangers that Annika goes through to find out the truth about her past and about her real mother. (Enya, Grade 6)

"The Star of Kazan" by Eva Ibbotson is a book that I enjoyed. It is adventures and mysterious. The main character Annika, lives as a servant in a grand house in Vienna. Vienna is a beautiful city that is famous for its great emperor and Riding School. Annika thinks that her life would be perfect but something is missing. The mystery of not knowing her real mother has stopped her life being perfect. When Annika was newly born, she was found in a church. No one knew where she came from, but every day she thinks about her beautiful mother finally coming to take her back home. Soon enough, Annika finds out the significant news of her past and has went on an adventure of extraordinary discovery and unexpected danger. (Nika. Grade 6)
