The Star of Kazan by Eva Ibbotson

TI recommend this book because it is a realistic fiction type of book since it took place in a church. And I could imagine an abandoned baby girl found by two people. They take her home, and the baby, Annika grows up in the quarters of a house belonging to three professors. She is happy there but still dreams of when her real mother will come to find her. I recommend this book because it is. (Juno, Grade 6)

"The Star of Kazan" by Eva Ibbotson is a book that I enjoyed. It is adventures and mysterious. The main character Annika, lives as a servant in a grand house in Vienna. Vienna is a beautiful city that is famous for its great emperor and Riding School. Annika thinks that her life would be perfect but something is missing. The mystery of not knowing her real mother has stopped her life being perfect. When Annika was newly born, she was found in a church. No one knew where she came from, but every day she thinks about her beautiful mother finally coming to take her back home.
