“The Plot” by Jean Hanff Korelitz was a book that I really didn’t enjoy. This book was highly recommended to me by a person who told me it was one of the best books they had read about the topic of writers. This book talks about Jack Bonner, a young writer and how he “steals” his dead student plot for a book and the adventure he has while trying to find and stop the person who it attempting to spread this theft on the internet. The story gets a bit more exciting in the end and finishes with a twist. I found this book really confusing and hard to understand in the beginning. It fits in the genre of realistic fiction. It is slow-paced and long. I would recommend this novel to ages 14/15+ because younger ages might find it really hard to understand and not enjoyable due to its content and length. (Nina. Grade 8)
