The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency written by Alexander McCall Smith is a book I would recommend. The book is about a girl named Precious Ramotswe that starts a detective agency from absolutely nothing, with only her knowledge she struggles a bit at the start to pay and find the money to pay for rent and staff. Mma Ramotswe faces many challenges and her friends are there to help her look for clues and leads. One friend in particular, Mr. J. L. B. Matekoni, the sweet and charming owner of Tlokweng Road Speedy Motors. Mr. J. L. B. Matekoni likes Mma Ramotswe and asks to marry her, but because of her past, she declines his marriage proposal. He still helps her no matter what and they can build her agency to be the best in the country. (Nika, Grade 6)

The book ' The No. 1 ladies detective agency' By Alexander McCall Smith was a very interesting book. It fits into the genre mystery because you don't know what would happen next. The vocabulary of this book was in the middle of hard and easy but is different for everyone. This book got boring and confusing after a while but it was a story that would suit other peoples interest. the beginning was a bit boring because it was the introduction (Which in my opinion didn't contain a hook). If you would like a story that shocks you and you could not put down this book wouldn't be for you.  (Jasmine, Grade 6)

The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency, was written by Alexander McCall Smith.I recommend this book. This book talks about a detective named Precious who creates her own agency. Her dad had sadly died from the dust in the mines where he worked, but laying on his deathbed he told Precious to build her own business. He was thinking in the lines of a small store but certainly not a detectives agency. This book is about different adventures and challenges Precious has to face and the many mysteries she solves as her job as a detective. (Emma, Grade 6)
