The Maze Runner, written by James Dashner, is the first book out of five. It is about Thomas who finds himself in an unknown place called the Glade. He doesn't know how he got there nor anything about his past. He had been brainwashed and put into a glade surrounded by a stone maze with grievers lurking in the shadows. The gladers think they have to solve the maze in order to escape, are they right and is it really that simple? I enjoyed this book very much and I would put it under the genre of Adventurous. If you like an adventurous book, this is definitely one for you. (Enya, Grade 6)
