"Yolo" by Lauren MyracThe Loop by Ben Oliver is a book that is set in another world and different governments. Luka is set in the Loop as an inmate. The Loop is just like a prison but the same things are repeated over and over. By the time the inmates turn 18 years old, they go to the Block, where things are even worse. The inmates in the Loop are test subjects, they go into the test room every six months. Luka Kane is one of them. The Loop is run by artificial intelligence and every day, they suffer. But one day, something goes wrong and Luka finds out that the only way to save himself is by escaping the prison. What is happening? Will he end up in the Block when he turns 18? I recommend this book to the ones that enjoy the genre of dystopian fiction, thriller, and dark fantasy. I personally think that the book was kind of challenging to understand because the storyline was kind of messy. Other than that, the book was awesome to read. (Ahyun. Grade 8)
