The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-banks by E. Lockhart is a book about a high school girl called Frankie. After she moved to a new boarding school, she met Matthew, a senior whom she fell in love with. She started hanging out with the senior group when she started to date Matthew. Alpha was one of the seniors who were friends with Matthew. Suddenly, Matthew started ditching Frankie for a secret male society of which her father was formerly part of too. Curious, she starts finding books about their society and tries to ruin their reputation by playing tricks and pranking them. Will she be able to hide from the society? Will Matthew still be her boyfriend? The genres of this book are a little bit of romance and realistic fiction based on the story. I recommend this book to those who would want to learn more about male society and Frankie’s relationship. (Ahyun. Grade 8)

“The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks” by E.Lockhart is young adult fiction. As a sophomore, Frankie continues to vandalize school property and violate the rules because of her boyfriend as a means of proving her point. As a result, she receives troubles along the way and suffers consequences. Having read this book, I enjoyed it since it aligned with my opinion of books. I would recommend this book to ages 13 and over as the content fits more with the age group. A reader who enjoys reading about romance, or who is interested in teens' typical actions, would also enjoy this book. (Ellery. Grade 8)
