Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli is an amazing book and shows the life through the perspective of a 16 year old boy named Leo. The book is a beautiful illustrated romace story between Susan Caraway (Stargirl) and Leo. This book includes a lot of drama like how the students soon turn on her. Leo, Stargirl's love interest has a problem and knows if she gets together with Stargirl, all the students would think of him bad too. The vocab in this book is very easy to understand but even though its easy to understand its probably one of the best books ive read this year. Honestly people who love confusing drama and romace I would high reccomend this spectacular book to you. (Jeho, Grade 6)

Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli is a realistic fiction and romance book. I enjoyed reading the book, although it had a slow start and wasn’t the type of book I normally like. The book is about a new student, a girl named Stargirl, who is very different from normal people. She causes a lot of drama and confusion, especially when she joins the cheerleaders and starts cheering for the other team. After a while, Leo notices he has feelings for the so peculiar Stargirl but knows that if he starts to hang out with her, all the people wouldn’t like him since they are angry at her for many weird things she has done. This is a very interesting book about the romance between Leo and Stargirl, and even when Stargirl tries to fit in, she is too different from the others. I would recommend this book to anyone.  (Melati. Grade 7)

Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli is a Romance/Realistic Fiction book about a unique girl that is new at school. A male student, Leo has seen this and taken an interest in her. Stargirl is someone that isn't like anybody else and isn't afraid to be either. This book has a really nice message - I think that message is "Be yourself because no matter what, the only persons opinion that matters is your own." The vocabulary in this book is fairly easy for me. I like that in this book Stargirl is the character that stands out, but it isn't told from her point of view - instead it's told from Leo's. I really liked this book and it might be one of my favourites. (Mandalay. Grade 7)

It is a book about a girl that loves porcupine tie’s since her uncle gave her one. Since then she has done a collection, but when she was twelve she moved to pennsylvania. She still had only one porcupine tie, but on her fourteen birthday she got another one. She went to mica high school where she met plenty of friends. And a few years later she met Stargirl, everybody thought she was a plant, she was a quiet girl and had a pet rat and loved to sing. The girl and her friend didn’t know if they should put her on the hot seat. The hot seat is a place where they record people asking personal questions. But finally they decided to put her on the hot seat. (Emma. Grade 6)

Star Girl by Jerry Spinelli. This book is realistic fiction and romance. I think this book is absolutely amazing! It is about a transfer student named Star Girl and her ways of doing what she does and how so much drama come up by being herself. it has detailed descriptions of what is happening, what the characters are feeling, who they are and what they were doing especially with Star Girl. Whenever there was a new day in the book, they would always have a detailed description of what she was like, what she was wearing and what others thought about her. Near the end, there was a VERY dramatic twist which was when…( read the book yourself :) ). The ending was almost like a cliffhanger which makes me want to read the sequel of this book. I would give this book a 5 out of 5 and for the vocabulary, I would give it a 2 out of 5.
