“Shooting Kabul” by N. H. Senzai was a fast pace book filled with mystery, adventure, the feelings of guilt, and fear. In this book, Fabi, an 11-year-old Afghani boy escapes with his parents and two sisters from Afghanistan for their safety. While running away, something tragic happens that fills everybody in the family with guilt. Despite all the struggling, the book has a happy heart-warming ending. This was a short and really easy book that can be read in just a few hours. It taught me a lot more about the life of immigrants and the suffering they undergo. I would recommend this novel to people who enjoy reading the genres of adventure, historical fiction, thriller, and fiction. I would recommend this story to grades 7 and up because it might be a bit tough for younger ones due to its theme. (Nina, Grade 7)

‘The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner is a story about a plague that went all over the world. And some people are immune to the Flare (Such as Thomas the main character). In this dystopian world, WICKED is the foundation that makes the wall all over the cities and finds people who are immune to the Flare. They do experiments on them and sometimes, put them to death. So, this is the main concept of ‘The Maze Runner Series. If you rather enjoy reading Sci-fi or dystopian, most of you will enjoy this book. The vocabulary isn’t that hard, the actual book isn’t that heavy compared to the main issue of the book. Again, if you enjoy reading dystopian literature or Sci-fi, I recommend this book.
