Scat by Carl Hiaasen

“Scat” by Carl Hiaasen was a great book. When Nick and Marta’s strict and much-hated teacher disappears in a “wildfire” while on a field trip, things start to go wrong. It is soon discovered that the fire was set on purpose and one of their fellow classmates is accused of starting it. Nick and Marta sense something fishy going on and hence they decide to investigate this matter themselves. Will they find their teacher and manage to save their classmate from being misjudged? I really liked this book. I would recommend it to people who enjoy the genres of adventure, mystery, and fiction. I think it is most suited for ages 10 and up because of its length. (Nina. Grade 8)
