Just Listen by Sarah Dessen is an exciting book about a life of a model. Annabel Greene is living just the perfect life everybody wants, the perfect career, popularity, friendship, and the perfect family. But one day, she felt like the world was crashing down on her. She loses her best friend by doing something that she wasn’t supposed to do and one of her sisters is dealing with health and emotional issues. Until one day, she feels a spark again in her life. Owen Armstrong, the person who is treated like an outcast in school, might help her out of her distress, and her modeling career. Is her life really perfect? Will this have a happy ending? I recommend this book to people who like the genre of romance and a bit of realistic fiction as well. I like this book because I get to know more about the private lives of models and how it's not really how it seems. (Ahyun. Grade 8)

"Just Listen" by Sara Dessen was a book I didn't particularly like. This story follows the life of Annabel Greene who just seems to have it all in life: looks, popularity, a good job, great friends, and a wonderful family. What happened the day it all came crashing down? Is her life really as perfect as it seems? This was a good book but not really my type. It wasn't very exciting or fast-paced. I would recommend it to people who enjoy reading books with the genres of realistic fiction and a bit of romance. I think it is most suitable for grades 6 and up because it might be hard for younger ages to understand. (Nina. Grade 8)

“Just Listen” by Sarah Dessen is a drama and romance novel. Annabel Greene has it all, a perfect life, perfect family, and perfect job, but not everything is as it seems. Annabel had her only two best friends turn on her, something horrific had happened to her over the summer, and her family is (essentially) falling apart. Annabel is totally alone, no friends, no company, no-one to console her, until someone unexpected comes into her life. Annabel’s story is emotional and a really good read, the things that happened to Annabel probably happens in real life. I really enjoyed this book, although it was a bit boring at the start. I recommend this book to people ages 12 and up because this book contains some adult themes that are not suitable for a younger audience. (Amerie. Grade 8)

“Just Listen” by Sarah Dessen, was another great book that I read. Annabel Greene, is a model, a high school student, and the youngest of three sisters. Last summer, her life went crashing down, she got blamed for something she didn’t do, lost her best friend, and became lonely. Throughout the book, her life turns into a roller coaster, her sister gets better from an eating disorder, her best friend isn't popular anymore, she befriends her old friends, and she finds someone that attracted her. I have enjoyed reading this book. I would recommend this book to people who like reading the genres of young adult, and romance as well. I feel like this book would mostly be for girls at the age of 13+ as the story was from a girl's point of view, and there was a lot of stuff that was mostly connected to a girl's life. (Ellery.
