Its Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han

This is the second book of the sequel, about Belly Conklin and her summer life at the summer house, with the beach, Susannah, and the boys: Jeremiah and Conrad. Though this time, things took a wild turn in their lives, and they would never be the same again. Belly does everything she possibly can not to accept it, and have everything back the way it was. Even though there are definitely happy parts to it, it does talk a lot more about serious subjects, especially compared to the first book. Though in my opinion it is still a very good book and keeps you interested at all times, therefore I recommend this book to all of my peers. (Emma. Grade 7)

In this book, it's the first time Belly won’t be going to the same summer house she has always gone to with her mother, her big brother, her mom's best friend, and her two sons, Jeremiah and Conrad. since Susannah passed away (Belly’s mother's best friend) this year they wouldn’t go to the summer house, then one week before his exams, Conrad disappears and Jeremiah asks Belly if she could go help find him, then Taylor, Belly's best friend, gets mad since she had already planned the whole summer for them. I really liked this book since the things that happen are very unexpected, and when I read it, I couldn’t put the book down and was really into reading it. It's a romance book with much drama, and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in reading an amazing romance series. (Melati. Grade 7)

This year Belly is stuck in a love triangle with the 2 brothers, which is what made this book interesting. The question is which boy will she choose? The reading level is very low as it is really easy to read. Overall I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good love triangle book or to anyone who just wants to read a short book for fun.  (Lilly. Grade 7)

The book it's not summer without you by Jenny Han is the second book to a 3 book sequel. The genre of this book is Romance. The vocabulary in this book is not hard but there are some difficult and unknown words that I came across. The book is about a teenage girl (Belly) who grew up with her mom’s best friend (Sussanah) and her 2 children (Conrad and Jeremiah) along with her brother (Steven) and mom (Laurel) in which they would meet up every summer at a place called Cousins at what they called, the summer house. I think that what makes this book interesting is that things take a turn. The 2 brothers from her mom’s best friend both want Belly, romantically, and Belly is caught in the middle of it. She has feelings for both brothers but has a hard time choosing between them. Belly is determined to make the right decision between the 2 boys and goes a long way to figure it out. I would totally recommend this book to those who are interested in teenage romance or anything like that because growing to become a teenager makes books like this more relatable and I think my peers would have the same point of view on it.  (Lilly.
