I Am the Cheese by Robert Cormier

“I Am the Cheese” by Robert Cormier is a novel based on the genre mystery. The whole novel is formatted in an interview type of text and has past and present point of views. Adam, the main character gets interrogated about his life that leads us to finding out many different secrets he eventually reveals.“I Am the Cheese” is a very confusing and slow-paced book, but had an interesting/surprising plot at the end. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy mystery and the ages of 12+ due to its content and language. Overall, it is recommended because of the plot and story, but it's rather confusing because of the switches between past and present point of views.   (Ellery. Grade 8)
