The Horizon by Scott Westerfeld is about adventure, mystery, and survival. I'll what is the basic story in this book. There was a robotic team called 'Kill-Bot'. They were on a plane going to japan for a robot competition but the plane crashed on an uninhabited island and they meet other characters and they try to find a way to escape the island.

I was interested in the setting because the island was not real and this was the first time a Japanese character was the main character, of 3 Japanese people in the story. The people who love adventure and survival will like it but it's a little boring. (Woojin. Grade 6)

This book is like a mystery, magical, adventure/survival type of book. If you like these types, I think you should give this book a try. The mystery part comes about in the middle of the whole book.

I liked how all these survival/adventure thing happened at the start when the plane crashed.

There were only the main character, and there friends after the crash.

About 3-2 of the characters are japanese. They are in a robotic clan.

I liked a part where they invented a type of berries by eating them.

They made a gravity machine, which was very useful sometimes. (Jiwan. Grade 6)

Horizon was written by Scott Westernfeld. This adventurous story is about a group of teenagers named the Kill-Bots. They are amazing engineers and are on their way to Japan for a robot competition. But while they are in the air tragedy structs and they find themselves in a unknown jungle which is not known to humans. This book is about how they learn to cope by themselves, and the many adventures they lived through. I enjoyed reading this book and I would rate it 3.5. The book isn't to long and I would recommend it to people who like adventurous stories. (Enya. Grade 6)
