Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman was a really good book with the genre realistic fiction.

This book is realistic fiction because stuff like being depressed or mental illness could happen to people in real life. This book was about a boy named Caden Bosch that had some serious depressing problems and mental illness. I think that this book is an interesting book because you get to see all the things the boy was thinking about. I didn't really get the beginning but after reading more I kind of got the hang of what the book was about. In this book there are some parts that could make you feel emotional because it could happen in real life. I really liked the book. It was really interesting. Recommend it to not so young people.  (Dag, Grade 7)

Challenger Deep by Neil Shusterman was an amazing realistic fiction book! It dived into the concept of mental illness as well as added adventure to it. At the start, it is a little confusing to understand. Though, as you keep reading it gets easier to follow and you start to want to know what is going to happen next. It fills in blank spots that might be in your brain when reading the book, which gives you an amazing feeling of realization and makes you want to keep reading. A reason this fits into realistic fiction is that the main character goes through things that could easily happen in the real world and it does to this day.

I recommend this book to anyone who is into real-world problems put into fiction to create amazing stories.  (Kai, Grade 7)

My book was challenger deep by Neal Shustermam. The book is about a boy who is depressed and mentally ill. The book is actually quite interesting because you read all the thoughts that a depressed person would have. There are also parts in the book that are not so happy and might be scary to some people. I didn't know that said books could be interesting. ell the genre of the book is realistic fiction because it could happen I liked the book but at some parts it was pretty boring and it isn't the typical book with a happy happy End for vocabulary I would rate it 3 out of 5 and I also liked it 3 out of 5 All in all it was a interesting book and I liked it although there were really boring parts.  (Melati, Grade 7)
