An Abundance of Katherines by John Green is a romance/realistic fiction book about a 17-year-old boy named Colin who is a child prodigy. Colin has a strange taste in girls, he will only date people named Katherine. Colin is always getting broken up with; he has been dumped by 19 different Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove ‘The Theorum Of Underlying Katherine Predictability’ to try and predict future relationships. The idea for this book was okay, but I didn’t like it very much as the main character, Colin, annoyed me because he whined and complained about everything. I was disappointed by this book because John Green is one of my favourite authors. I, personally would not reccomend this book, but if you want to read it I would recommend it to 14+ because it has mature topics and swear words. (Mandalay. Grade 7)
