Vlad the Impaler: The Real Count Dracula by Enid A. Goldberg and Norman Itzkowitzis a book about the the ruler Vlad the Impaler in the region of Wallachia. By the time Vlad the Impaler was born, the region and the nearing empires were in war. His father, Vlad II Dracul was hungry for power that when Vlad the Impaler and his brother were around the age of 12, they were sent to the Turkish empire to ask them not to ask the region. After a few years Vlad worked for the Turks as an officer. One day, a general was sent to him about his father, which makes him shock. I recommend this book to people who are interested in history. The genre of this book is Non-fiction and the text and picture ratio was at a fair point. (Ahyun. Grade 7)

A Wicked history: Vlad the Impaler the real count dracula is part of a series named "A Wicked History" The series is made by Enid A. Goldberg and Norman Itzkowitz, this book is a nonfiction genre and is about a tyrant nicknamed Vlad III or Vlad the Impaler or Dracula. This book is really good if you like to read about brutal leaders in history, as the nickname "vlad the impaler" suggests, vlad really liked to impale people for their execution and drank blood which is where the name "Dracula" came from. the book is fairly short compared to most books for the reading challenge and i recommend this for people who like history and are intrested in infamous leaders in the past but dont recommend it for people who dont like violence too much (even though there is not much violence). The vocabulary of the book is easy to read for a 7th-8th grade reader and has a good picture to text ratio, overall i rate this book a 3/5 because the book was easy to read and the pages are more to the short side compared to all the other books in the reading challenge. Vlad the Impaler- The Real Count Dracula by Enid A. Goldberg & Norman Itzkowitz is a book about a empire that is in the middle of 2 of the biggest empires, the Turks and the Romans. The ruler Vlad the Impaler has to make alliances but he is also very power hungry. He is know as Vlad the Impaler because you how much people he killed. It is safe to say he was evil. This book is very short and limited because it was a long time ago so they are not 100% sure on their knowledge and don't have all of it. For this reason I didn't enjoy the book as much as its in between historical fiction and non fiction which I find odd. Overall, the book was interesting to me because I enjoy learning about history and the empires. Therefore, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history or just wants to expand their knowledge as this book is very short. (Monty. Grade 7)

Wicked History by Vlad the Impaler was written by Enid A. Goldberg which was the book I read. This book, really caught my attention as I got to find out so many interesting facts and detailed history about Vlad the Impaler. The parts that I felt were interesting to read were the parts when Vlad went to war against many countries. In my opinion, this book genre is Non-Fiction as it gives information about Vlad's entire life. This book isn't very challenging to read and I think many people in our class can read it. I would recommend this book to people who like reading or learning about people back in history. This book gave me good information and pictures about Vlad which I never knew about. Overall this book is fascinating about Vlad the Impaler's life and what he has done. (Jackson. Grade 7)
