Spoiler Alert! Read the other Scarlet and Ivy books before continuing

Scarlet and Ivy - The Last Secret by Sophie Cleverly is the last book of the Scarlet and Ivy series. After having defeated more than one evil headmaster/mistress, having revealed secrets about their mother, their friend Rose, and found kidnapped teachers, what could stand in the way of these mirror twins? Well, how about the school threatening to be closed?! As a new term starts at Rookwood, the twins quickly realize that the school is in danger. As the son of Mr. Bartholomew claims to have inherited the school from his father, the girls go on a search for the true will of Rookwood. Same as all the other Scarlet and Ivy books, I think this book fits best into the genre of mystery. I rated the vocab difficulty a 2 and the overall book a 4. I recommend this book for people who want to enjoy a not-too-difficult book while still following the story an exciting adventure. (Malena. Grade 8)

"The Last Secret" by Sophie Cleverly is the last book in the series " Scarlet and Ivy". In this novel, the twins go back home for the holidays but things are not as they were. Their father's head always seems to be in the clouds and their evil stepmother has stopped harassing them and is simply ignoring them. After the holidays, when they get back to school, a strange man, Mr. Henry Barthemlow, the old evil headmaster's son, claims he is the true owner of Rookwood and has plans to "rebuild" the school because it is no longer safe for the students. But, is he telling the truth? This soon leads the twins, some of their friends and some others to another mysterious investigation. Can they prove that Henry is not the true owner of Rookwood before it is too late? And can they find out what their stepmother is up to and how is this connected to their father's strange behaviour? I really enjoyed this book. It fits in the genres mystery, adventure and realistic fiction. I would recommend it for nine and up that can start to read chapter books. (Nina. Grade 7)

The Last Secret by Sophie Cleverly is the 6th and final book from the realistic fiction and mystery series, Scarlet & Ivy. In this book, Scarlet and Ivy return home for the holidays. But things don't seem quite right... Their father is more distant than ever, and their stepmother is almost ignoring them... The twins know that something sinister is going on. On top of that, previous headmaster, Mr.Barthemlow, has passed away, and his son now owns Rookwood. He says Rookwood needs to be rebuilt to make it safer for the students, but the girls suspect he is not telling the truth... The twins find some hidden papers written by their mother that will help them in saving Rookwood, the school they have come to love. I enjoyed this book because I think it was interesting to find out more about the characters, and it is quite easy to read. (Justine. Grade 8)
