Marcus Vega Doesn't Speak Spanish by Pablo Cartaya is a book about a boy called Marcus who is originally from Puerto Rico. He has a brother, diagnosed with Down Syndrome and a single mother. His father left when we was an infant, left with his brother and mom. One day, Marcus got in trouble for punching another student and was suspended. He got more curious about his dad and convinced his mom to travel to Puerto Rico. The book is a bit hard to understand because some of the parts of dialoges are in Spanish and they aren't translated. The story is also kind of broing because the story is too slow and it took me a week to finish this book. The genre of this book is realistic fiction and adventure, also connecting to Mystery at some point. I recommend this book to the ones who are interested in the Vega's journey to Puerto Rico. (Ahyun.
