Lincoln's grave robbers by Steve Sheinkin is a historical non-fiction book about people planning to rob president Abraham Lincoln's corpse (grave robbing). The story starts by introducing a prisoner who is a confederate sympathiser who is escaping from a prison because of the effects of the civil war, (i wont spoil any more since i really want you to read this book) then in the middle it introduces the Logan county gang who plan to rob Lincoln's corpse in his tomb so they can sell it for a large amount of money. But in July 4th, one of the members/robbers got drunk and shouted all of their plans in front of everyone which made it harder for the gang to steal his corpse because the rumor spread like wildfire. Then in the end his body ended up being placed in a really hard block where nobody else can attempt to steal it and is still there. Overall i think this book is probably tied of being my favorite with minecraft: the island because the story of Lincoln's Grave Robbers were very intresting and i kept wanting to know more about what happened next, the vocabulary were mid-range in difficulty. I highly recommend this book for everybody because its hooks you in the first 20 pages. Overall this book is very good and i like it a lot. (Rama. Grade 7)

Lincoln's Grave Robbers by Steve Sheinkin is a non-fiction book about a plot made by a group of criminals who aim to steal Abraham Lincoln's body to hold it for ransom and exchange it for Benn Boyd, who is an expert engraver who engraves plates for counterfeit currency. This book also details how the Secret Service attempted to foil their plans. I like how this book contained many details about the plot to steal Abraham Lincoln's body. This book also gave me great insight into life in the late 1800s. This book wasn't the best book I read. The book was a bit short compared to the other books in the reading challenge and contained more challenging vocabulary without explaining it. I recommend this book to people who like historical non-fiction, or crime non-fiction and want to know more about early paper currency. All around it is an okay read even without its pictures. The book "Lincoln's Grave Robbers" by Steve Sheinkin was an interesting and informative story. However, it is not particularly my favorite type of narrative because it was a bit slow-paced and boring. Still, I enjoyed learning about this part of American history I did not know much about. The book focuses on the death of President Lincoln and the failed operations to body snatch his remains for a ransom. The story also explains the life of his family and how many of his relatives, including his sons, had died before him. At first, this book might seem a bit too long and boring but if you keep reading it will become more interesting. I would mostly recommend this book for people who are interested in the genre non-fiction and American history. I do not think this book is suitable for ages below ten because it might be very boring and rather long for younger readers. (Nina. Grade 7)

Lincoln's Grave Robbers by Steve Sheinkin is a non-fiction book about the robbery of the former president of the United States of America's body. At that time there was a massive problem of fake money which the book is also based around. This took place in 1875 so there were lots of terms that we wouldn't use today, partly because things like fake money are not around now and a lot of the old-fashioned words are based around that. I liked this book as it was non-fiction and some action which is my preferred genre. Although at some points the characters can easily get mixed up and not that clear. Although, I enjoyed learning about fake money and the old days. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes non-fiction and action. (Monty. Grade 7)
