I read the book Let's go Swimming on Doomsday and I think that it was a good book as the book was super descriptive and very suspenseful. It is about a teenage boy called Abdi and his brother was forced to become a part of the Al Shabab. Abdi enters the Al Shabab to find their plans out and he meets his brother who is a whole new person with a different identity. As I started to read this book, it was really hard to stop because I kept on wondering what would happen next. Although, as I started reading in the beginning, I was slightly confused. But as I kept reading, the book started to become more interesting. I think the genre of the book is historical fiction but also some adventure. I feel like the ending is kind of rushed but the book overall was good. The book is pretty long and would recommend this book to people who like a more challenging book with an adventure and historical fiction genre. The vocabulary was not very hard but there were one or two words I didn't know. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it. (Seoyeon. Grade 7)
