I was laughing from start to finish and loved the fact that the greatest hero was just like me, a normal kid who sets off on an incredible adventure because of a simple misunderstanding. We all love a superhero but these characters aren't perfect, their powers are far from perfect and in some cases down right ridiculous but that's what makes them so funny and interesting. I really enjoyed reading this book and want to read more Kid Normal books. I would recommend this book any boys and girls, 8+, who like an adventure story that doesn't take itself too seriously. Murph has to move to another town (for like the 4th time) because of his mom's job and ends up in a new school. But this school is different, it hides a big secret. Will Murph be able to save the day even when he is the only "normal" kid at school? Read the book to find out. This was a great book and I really liked it. It is both exciting and funny. This book is about a boy who is constantly moving around because of his moms' job. He has been to many schools over the years, but none like the special school that he starts to attend through a misunderstanding. The kids that attend there all have special capabilities, but since he knows too much already, the teachers decide to keep him at the school. Across the city, an accident leads to a villain wanting slaves. And what better slaves are there than a bunch of kids with superpowers? I think this book is great for people who might want a bit easier vocabulary while still enjoying an adventurous book. (Malena. Grade 8)
