How to Get Dumped by Patt Flyne is a realistic fiction and romance book about a year 9 student named Tony who attempts to break up with his girlfriend so that he could date a different girl. I liked this book because it was quite funny, and it had a lot of Australian slang. Even though this book had an exciting story line, it was quite short with little over 150 pages and there were not many words per page. The story line was also a bit messed up due to the books length, it seemed as if the events happened too quickly. If I were not Australian, I would have never had a clue on what was going on in the book. I recommend this book to 5th and 6th graders because its quite short, and people who like funny romance books. (James, Grade 7)

This book is quite short and a easy read it is based around a main boy which is the protagonist who is in the mixed up relationship issue where he is in a current relationship but due to circumstances has feeling's for another but at the same time is still infatuated with his current girlfriend. This cerate's a interesting scenario for him which he had to wind way through. I quit enjoyed to element's of comedy and romance in this book and how the author used it to make you involved and interested into the character. (Oliver, Grade 7)
