"How I live now" by Meg Rosoff starts of when Daisy, a 15 year old girl flies from America to England to visit her cousins. This book tells us the story of how Daisy and her youngest cousin Piper, a 9 year old girl, get separated from the rest of their cousins and have to survive without them during the war that breaks out. The girls get sent away by the army and end up getting a job as fruit pickers. Along the way, they start to make new friends. However, soon a horrible incident happens and they have to pack their stuff and go back home. This was a pretty good book, although a bit sad at parts, I would mostly recommend it for people who enjoy reading books with the genre realistic fiction. It is mostly targeted for kids above the age of ten. (Nina. Grade 7)

This book didn't really fit my type of books I like therefore, I didn't like it much. It is a short book about Daisy and her youngest cousin, Piper, who are separated from the boys in the family and settled at the home of a young Army officer in a town far away. When violence escalates in the area, Daisy and Piper have no choice but to set off on a terrifying adventure to find their family members. There were no reviews for this book so this is my opinion for anyone who is interested in reading this book. I would recommend this book to people who like slower moving books or adventure books.
