I read 'Half and Half' by Lensey Namioka. The genre of this book is realistic fiction. Fiona Cheng is half and half. Her father is Chinese and her mother is Scottish. Fiona more looks like Chinese, so people expect her to be more interested in the Chinese culture. Even she knows that she is half and half, but she starts to get confused about herself. This book has a story of Fiona trying to find her real self. It has a good story line and the book it really short and simple. It was a good book that includes a common conflict of a mixed culture people. However, I don't think that this book is a grade 8 level book. I would recommend this book this people who would like to read a short book that has a simple story. (Sebin. Grade 8)

I would recommend this book to anyone who is still learning English, it has no hard vocabulary in it.Fiona Cheng, is half Chinese, and half Scottish, she finds it hard to fit in each and every event/group activities she joined. Fiona wanted to dance a Scottish dance in an event this weekend, so she got to participate in the dance that is led by her grandfather, but her grandmother from her dad's side, planned to have her included in her dad's show as a Chinese character.
