Spy School by Stuart Gibbs is a fiction book that focuses on the main character, a 12 year old boy named ben who one day is suddenly call upon by the CIA to join a secret spy school to train to be a spy. Ben has always dreamed of this, and of course, accepts. With the help of a CIA agent, Ben covers his tracks and says he is going to a special science school. There, he meets Erica, the best spy at the school. She reveals to him some secrets that the spy school and the CIA is hiding... Together they form a plan, and will work together to uncover secrets the headmaster and other agents are keeping. I think that this book was okay, I neither loved it or hated it. I think that this book could be interesting if you once were/are someone who wants to be a spy, or think it could be fun to experience becoming a spy in training. (Justine, Grade 8)

This is a book from the series "Spy School", one of the best series I have ever read. Ben, a kid who is really good at math, gets recruited in to spy school to be bait. In this book he gets set up and ends up "working" for his enemy. But there is a twist. Would Ben actually betray his agency ? I loved this book and could not put it down till the very last page. The story of Evil Spy School follows the adventures of Ben Ripley as a student at SPYDER, an evil corporation that he has foiled twice now. It is especially pleasing to me how detailed and specific the writing is, allowing the reader to see clearly what is happening. One thing I disliked, however, was that the pacing of the story could be slow and could become boring at times. Overall, this action and adventure book by Stuart. Gibbs is detailed and elaborate, although the pacing is a bit off. (Ayden, Grade 8)
