Chasing King's Killer by James L. Swanson is a non-fiction book about Martin Luther King Jr, and how the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr, was done by James Earl Ray and how he assassinated him and how he eventually got caught . The book was good because it explains in detail and it talked about the gun that was used for the assassination and too the exact place where Martin Luther King Jr, was standing when he got shot . This book kind of talked about the civil rights movement. The author tried hard to make the book really exciting and gave good information. The thing that was not good about the book was that 100 pages were not a part of the book and just some extra source. I recommend this book to especially people who like non-fiction (Rudra. Grade 7)

Chasing King's Killer by James L. Swanson is a non-fiction book about Martin Luther King Jr. and how James Earl Ray assassinated him, then how he got away and eventually got caught. I like this book because it explains in detail how James killed Martin, from the gun he used to the exact place he was standing when he shot Martin. I also liked this book because it also talked a lot about the civil rights movement and how Martin tried to peacefully obtain equal rights while other leaders such as Malcolm X preferred to use violence. The book also explained how turbulent the 60s were. But one thing I did not like about the book was that the last 100 pages were just sources and extra material. I recommend this book to people who want to know more about the civil rights movement, Martin Luther King Jr., and how assassinations are conducted. I think everyone should read this book. (James. Chasing King's Killer is an exciting novel that goes in-depth into the murder of Dr King. Leading up to the murder, the book discusses King's mission, beliefs, and controversy surrounding him. Swanson did a great job in making the book exciting while still being informational. One thing that I found very helpful about the book is including pictures and diagrams of important people and places. In general, if you want to know more about Dr King, and his mission for freedom for African Americans, while following along with a great story, this is the book for you. (Edu. Grade 8)
