I didn't really enjoy this book so much, but I would recommend this book to people who likes soccer, and people who has a hard time with reading thick chunks of paragraphs. Nick Hall, the main character who has lots of things going on in his life. He plays soccer because he loves it, it's his hobby. He doesn't like reading but his dad forces him too, especially the dictionary that he has to finish reading. The book explained more of his life rather than soccer, or football and I enjoyed that. The book ¨Booked¨ was fun to read if you enjoy playing soccer or you like to read about soccer. This book has little stories each time. The little stories are about soccer or other things such as: school, home, parents etc. I would not recommend to read this because its not really entertaining to read but if you like a simple book with not so much entertaining this book could be for you! This book talks about a boy named Nick and his life as a teenager. Nick mostly talks about football (soccer), and this girl he likes in his class. In my opinion, this book is funny in a way that most teenagers can relate to, but it’s not one of my absolute favorite books because it’s not very interesting and it just talks about the same thing over and over again. On the other hand, if you like simple books expressed in different poetic forms this might be a book for you. (Lucie. Grade 8)
