Across our 3 sections (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts), Balerno Scout Group offers a varied programme of adventurous activities for children and young people aged 6 to 14.
Due to high demand for spaces, we have a joining list.
The children of those who sign up as volunteers with the Group are given priority on the joining list (see volunteer)
To have your child or young person added to the joining list, please complete the joining form below.
Membership dues are currently £45 per term (there are 3 terms in a year). Reduced rates apply for the children of our volunteers and, because we are committed to ensuring that all children and young people can benefit from Scouting, financial support is available.
Beavers is for children aged 6 - 8
Children can join one of our Beaver colonies, which usually meet from 17:45 to 18:45, on:

Cubs is for children aged 8 - 10½
Children can join one of our Cub packs, which usually meet from 19:00 to 20:30, on:

Scouts is for young people aged 10½ - 14
Young people can join one of our Scout troops, which usually meet from 19:30 to 21:00 on:

Young people from 14 - 18
At age 14, young people living in and around Balerno area can join our partner organisation Wildfire Explorers.
