As COVID-19 numbers keep rising in the United States, Johnson and Johnson have created an entire new vaccine that could soon become approved by the FDA.
This new vaccine would require just one dose and it would not have to be stored in cold temperatures like the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine.
Johnson and Johnson plan to release 100 million doses to the United States, but people should be warned that it will most likely be a slow arrival of the first couple of doses.
In other news related to the vaccine, Joe Biden has made it his mission to set up at least 100 more vaccination centers to increase the amount of people receiving the vaccine. Biden is also planning to join forces with COVAX to help administer the vaccine to those around the world.
Other big corporations are even stepping up to join the fight against COVID-19. Amazon issued a statement saying they plan to get all of their employees vaccinated at the earliest possible moment.
Amazon also wants to help use their company to get the 100 million Americans vaccinated that President Biden promised.
At the present time frontline workers, nursing home staff, psychiatric hospital staff and people with special conditions can receive the vaccine. The next phase put in place will allow those 65 and older to be given the vaccine as well.
