The first day of school always brings about new changes for students. This year will be very different. The students have noticed many changes, mainly being masks, backpacks and the new schedule.
“Well obviously the masks make a difference, but also the lunch seating arrangement is completely different. We went from sitting anywhere with crowds of people to three people at a table,” junior Hannah Ballinger said.
Students have also noticed that many people in the building have been stressed, most likely due to the coronavirus and the new guidelines.
“The masks and the backpacks made a large difference. More people seemed to be stressed out this year because of coronavirus and the changes. It's hard to tell what people are saying because of wearing the masks all day,” junior Lindsey McKenna said.
Many of the differences this year have been hard for students to adjust to. Some of them have negatively impacted students.
“I don’t like the seating arrangements, especially in our homeroom because it makes it hard to be able to see and talk to friends at school,” Ballinger said.
While many of the differences were negative, there were some that students thought were better.
“Carrying backpacks make it easier to carry everything,” McKenna said.
Overall, Badin has a lot of changes this year many due to COVID-19. Many of the changes have a negative impact but there are some that are affecting students positively.
