The last time students heard from Badin Rocks was at football games. Recently they have been heavily preparing for the Badin Rocks Christmas Concert.
The Badin Rocks Christmas Concert was on a Thursday night and was a blast for all who came. Badin Rocks coordinators Elaina and Mr. McCormick have been getting the band together since Halloween.
“Right when normal football games ended, we began practicing for the concert,” Mrs. McCormick said.
The concert had many different variations of music including classic rock, jazz and modern music. Some songs had been sung by the whole band, but the majority were played by groups.
Sophomore Lauren Flick, a guitarist, enjoyed the music that she and the band played during the event.
“I really liked it. It had a different variation. It was great,” Flick said.
Of course, practicing for the Badin Rocks Christmas Concert wasn’t all fun and games, they had to work hard for the concert.
“It is fun and it takes a long time and it’s hectic and it’s hard work but it’s rewarding,” McCormick said.
Many students love playing with Badin Rocks and they enjoy the musical atmosphere that they are a part of.
Sophomore Rebekah Snyder loves being apart of Badin Rocks and was inspired by choir.
“I did choir in 8th grade and it inspired me to participate in Badin Rocks.” Snyder said.
