Backwoods TNR is a small group of compassionate, ordinary citizens who see community cats in need.

As an all volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Clinton, Louisiana, we are focused on the welfare of feral, stray, homeless, abandoned and free roaming community cats in East Feliciana Parish.  We work to promote, advocate for, and implement TNR (trap-neuter-return) as a humane and effective approach to prevent and reduce free roaming cat overpopulation.

Our mission is to reduce overpopulation and improve the lives of feral, stray, homeless, abandoned and free roaming community cats and the people who care for them. We offer full service TNR to residents in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, and nearby underserved communities.

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) is a humane and effective method for managing and reducing community (feral and stray) cat populations. It involves trapping cats, having them spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies, and ear-tipped (a universal sign that a cat has been sterilized), before releasing them back to their original outdoor home.

It truly does take a village. We're proud and thankful to our partners - We can't do what we do without all of you!
