Each year, PTA works hard to create a strong community at Azevada Elementary, bringing families together to support students & staff as a collective. We hope that you will join us in this effort in whatever way you can!
Below are the meeting dates and times for our General and Board meetings for the 2023 - 2024 school year, upcoming events, and how to join PTA.
PTA General Meetings: 6:30 to 7:30 pm @ the Azevada Library and on Zoom

Dates: 9/10, 11/12, 1/14, 3/11, 5/13
Attend the PTA general meetings to stay informed as to what is going on around the school, help make decisions for events and allocating funds, and learn how to get involved.
Feel free to join by Zoom.

August 14th: Parent and PTA meet and greet! Join us for donuts in the library at 8:30 on the first day of school.
August 23rd: Mechie's fundraiser. Support PTA by grabbing some Menchie's and then head back to the Azevada Community Park to chat with fellow parents and build community!

Why should I join PTA?
PTA is about community connections and working together to support the health, well-being, and educational needs of all students. PTA has many benefits, from a wonderful way to help show support for teachers, staff & students, to meeting community/family members, creating lasting friendships and giving back to our community. Being a PTA member also allows you to provide input and vote on how we will spend funds for the school year.
Join the ALL STAR FAMILY Facebook group to stay in the know and to easily ask questions.
What does PTA do?
Fundraise: PTA works to fundraise throughout the school year to support the school. Funds raised go towards things such as teacher grants, 5th grade science camp, birthday books, and anything else the school might need (supplies, repairs, etc.)
Events: PTA works with the school to help put on events throughout the year. We are excited this year as Azevada will be bringing back some of the events that students and families have loved such as the Fall Festival, Bedtime Story Night, and Field Day. We also host fundraising events such as the Fun Run and restaurant nights.
Create Community: PTA strives to create a strong community at Azevada Elementary, bringing families together to support students & staff as a collective.
How do I join?
Join Azevada PTA now through TOTEM, the California State PTA new online membership sign-up system. It is safe and easy to become a member!
