Reading Session
Time to get singing! This reading session will allow you to get to know the conductors, music and other important details for AzACDA’s annual Cantaremos Festival! Cantaremos is a wonderful opportunity to give your 5th-9th grade singers a positive festival experience on Saturday, November 22nd. Come and sing with us as we preview the great pieces picked out by this year's fabulous clinicians, Dr. Marcela Molina (7-9 SSA), J.J. Rafferty (7-9 TTB) and Jessica Elder (5-6 Elementary).
Travis White has been a music and choral educator for 11 years. A native of Phoenix, singing has always played a significant role in his life. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Choral Music Education from Northern Arizona University and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. In 2020, he was named the “Westside Impact Teacher of the Year” and just last year presented “How to Be a Choir Ninja - Bringing Novelty Into Your Choral Program” at the 2024 AzACDA Summer conference. Mr. White is excited to begin his new role as Director of Programs and Engagement for the Phoenix Boys Choir, helping to adopt new and innovative programs that recruit, inspire and educate future young vocalists! Travis is blessed to have married his wonderful wife Shelbe, a music therapist and in his spare time loves to walk, watch baseball and bowl.
