Dr. Said Karim Shah is a Professor of Physics at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM), with a research focus on nanostructured materials for energy applications. He has been a research Professor at the University of Camerino, Italy, since October 2024. He earned his PhD in Physics from Camerino in 2012 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute Polytechnique de Bordeaux, France, in 2014. He earned his PhD in Physics from the University of Camerino in 2012 and completed postdoctoral research at the Institute Polytechnique de Bordeaux, France, in 2014. Dr. Shah began his academic career at the International Islamic University Islamabad and later joined AWKUM, where he progressed from Assistant Professor to Professor of Physics. His research spans metal oxide nanostructures, flexible and perovskite solar cells, as well as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) for energy storage and conversion applications. He has authored over 85 peer-reviewed publications and led several funded research projects under NRPU, HEC Islamabad, HED-KPK, and DOST-KPK. As an HEC-approved PhD supervisor, he has mentored over 150 BS, MPhil, and PhD students and maintains active collaborations with research groups in China, France, and Italy.
