I don’t know that there has ever been a more exciting time to say Welcome Back! The partnership between parents/guardians and our teaching staff in educating our students took on an entirely different meaning altogether over the last year and a half; and while we know it wasn’t perfect, and our patience and mental fortitude was tested, I am confident it will make us more resilient and allow us to return to school with renewed conviction in the importance of partnering together to provide your students with the best education possible. We are excited to begin a new school year that looks more like the traditional school years of old; students will return in August to our traditional schedule of 7:00am-1:54pm, Monday-Friday. At Granite Hills HS, it is our mission to prepare students for both college and careers by inspiring them to be their best and tap into their potential. It is our belief that this mission is best accomplished when you and our dedicated teachers work together as a team.
We would like to extend a big Granite Hills welcome to our newest Cougars, the class of 2025! We are so grateful that you chose Granite Hills as your high school. Welcome to the family!
Exciting things are happening here at Granite Hills High School this year, including new teachers and new programs, all focused on preparing our students to be ready for college and career. We are proud to say we are a 2021 Exemplary Arts Program School (nationally recognized for our GREAT Academy Pathway), we have completed construction on our new commercial baking kitchen, and we are continuing to strengthen our Career Technical Education pathways by revising and adding new courses and state-of the-art equipment.
Our pathways are geared to spark your student’s interests and to give them real-world experiences, which will prepare them for life after high school. These pathways include:
● Advanced Placement (AP) and AP Capstone
