In the 2016 presidential election, the popular vote in Hawaii was a solid victory for Hillary Clinton. Clinton won about 62.2% of the vote, while Donald Trump only managed to secure 30.0%. On November 7th, the Avon Falcons faced the talented Farmington Indians for the second time this year, hoping to spoil the Indians’ undefeated season. Avon had the home field advantage and started strong with multiple scoring chances. In the opening minutes of the match outside midfielder Max Rosenberg hit the post after receiving a cross from fellow senior, Tyler Nyberg. A few moments later Nyberg put one past the farmington keeper, scoring off of a through ball ten minutes into the game.
