Brief Introduction

Dr. P. Chitramani, Professor in Business Administration and Dean, School of Commerce and Management, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, graduated with a Bachelors in Management from PSG College of Arts & Science, Masters degree in Business Administration from PSG College of Technology, research degrees in Management (M.Phil. & Ph.D.) from Avinashilingam University for Women, and qualified in the UGC Net Exam for Lectureship & SLET.

Her areas of interest and expertise are Strategic Management, CRM, Supply Chain Management, Product and Brand Management, Digital Marketing, IT Business Processes, and Business Analytics and Intelligence. She is offering a Supply Chain Management course in SWAYAM – MOOC with the UGC funding of 13.5 lakhs.

Her contribution towards the design of innovative curriculum and pedagogy, institutional and infrastructure development, industry-centric research, and linkages have enhanced her professional excellence. She is the Managing Committee Member of the Coimbatore Management Association.

The academic researches accomplished are Designing Marketing Models based on Quality of Living, Buying Behaviour and Life Orientation of Urban Slum Dwellers, Building Marketing Strategies based on Consumer Behaviour and Brand Differentiation, Computerised Information System for Hire Purchase Credits and Inventory Management, Strategic Export Marketing at Best & Crompton Engineering Ltd., Madras.

With 28 years of teaching, research, and consultancy experience and 15 years of offshore teaching experience, she has produced 3 PhDs and guiding 7 Ph.D. scholars, accomplished seven funded corporate consultancy projects, three funded developmental projects, and two funded research projects, and has several publications in national and international journals with Google Scholar Citations of 110, h-index: 6, i10: 3, and Scopus Citations numbering 9, h-index: 2 (as on May 2021).
