MATT MICHEL

Matt grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where he spent almost all his time fly fishing. After graduating from high school, Matt attended NC State University, where he completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biological Engineering.

Prior to joining the CTE staff at Avery High, Matt worked as a Civil Engineer for clients in the Private, Public, Education and Commercial Energy sectors. Currently, Matt teaches CTE courses in the Drafting and Engineering disciplines, while also working as a fly-fishing guide.
